Level is a numerical representation of a character's battle experience. In Dawn of the New Hour, a character accrues Experience Points when enemies are defeated. When enough Experience has been gained, the character "Levels Up."
The maximum level a player can reach is assumed to be Level 99.
Upon gaining a Level Up, a character is granted a boost to one of their attributes, and sometimes coupled with a new Ability or equipment expansion. Listed below are all the rewards you can get. This includes level up rewards for not just Sullivan, but also for Victoria and Blake, except where noted.
- Increase in Hit Points.
- Increase in Magic Points.
- Increase in Soul Points.
- Increase in Strength.
- Increase in Defense.
- Gain a new Ability.
Upon leveling up, the character with the increased level will fully heal their health-points.
A Bonus Level is a reward system that allows an extra bonus in being victorious during Boss Battles. Sullivan, Victoria, Blake, and (if applicable) a fourth party member will receive a Bonus Level after each Boss fight.
- A new spell or upgrade to an existing one.
- A new Ability.
- A new Accessory.
- Stat-boosting items.
T.A.R.D.I.S. Levels are obtained during story progression. With each increase, a new room will unlock in the time and space machine, opening new opportunities to Sullivan and co.
